Don H. GilbertDon Gilbert has over 20 years of experience managing not-for-profit organizations, the last 15 of which have been as the principal, along with his wife, Jane, and daughter, Lynn, of their own full-service association management company, DHG&A. DHG&A offers personal service that is responsive to the specific needs of your association and yet is flexible. Our philosophy as an association management company is to provide clients with exceptional executive management services. We are dedicated to our clients and our personal attention to details is highly valued by our clients. Our success is due to helping clients to be successful by providing expert consulting, outstanding client care and delivering information through clear, concise communications. We specialize in the day-to-day management of associations.

Don is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and ASAE's Association Management Company Section. DHG&A subscribes to the Best Professional Practices for Association Management Companies produced by ASAE and the International Association of Association Management Companies.

Jane Gilbert provides support in client communications and desktop publishing. Lynn Gilbert is an account executive with expertise in financial services and web page maintenance and design.

In 2001, DHG&A forged a unique collaboration with Michael Pfeiffer, the owner of another local association management company AssociationsWest, Inc., whereby each management firm assists the other as necessary (such as during special events, vacations, etc.) so that there is always someone our clients can rely upon for services. As a result, we have both become very familiar with each other's clients. Rather than compete, we have joined forces and enhance each other's business significantly for the better. Our combined expertise lies in providing effective strategic planning, public affairs/government relation services, meetings and event planning, and financial management.

DHG&A recognizes that administrative expenses are an important concern of all its clients. It is committed to providing cost-effective services. Rates may be negotiated based on factors such as full-services, volume of services and other factors. DHG&A's fees are competitive (or better) with other association mangement firms in the Los Angeles area.
